In a move no doubt accompanied by maniacal laughter, CCP have begun what they call the Recall Program for , in which still participating members of the EVE Online universe can earn rewards by reaching out to ex-players and offering them seven free days of game time, getting them back into the game almost immediately.
The rewards change each month and CCP have a wide variety of goodies on offer, including unique items and even PLEX. Of course, getting your friend to jump back in isn't enough - rewards are only sent out once they follow up their seven free days with a subscription for at least 30 days.
I'm sure there are ways this isn't like an evil drug dealer from a morality play, I just can't think of them at the moment. If you'd like to learn more, check out the official site, which is also where you should go if you're a current EVE player who wants to take advantage of the Recall Program.
