RIVERSIDE: Car wash April 13 benefits family of teen hit by SUV

A car wash to raise money for the family of a Norte Vista High student killed in an accident that happened in March will be held Sunday, April 13.

Mark Rivera, a junior at the school in Riverside, was struck by an SUV on March 28 while crossing the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard on foot. He died April 8. The crash remains under investigation, Riverside police Lt. Mark Rossi said.

The car wash will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Norte Vista, 6585 Crest Ave.
