Host of US cable network BET's 106 and Park brought up last weekend's falling-out between Bunji Garlin (Ian Alvarez), Fay-Ann Lyons-Alvarez and the Asylum Vikings and the producers of the 2014 Tobago Jazz Experience, asking Bunji if the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) had apologised for disrespecting them.
Bow Wow (Shad Gregory Moss) and co-host, Keshia Chante, were interviewing Bunji and Fay-Ann following their performance of "Differentology" on the show's stage on Thursday.
The BET segment was recorded on Wednesday and aired during Thursday's live broadcast.
As for the performance, Bunji and Fay-Ann had the audience going wild as they danced along, with some of them waving Trinidad and Tobago flags.
Bunji threw in some freestyle chanting during the performance, eliciting even louder cheers from the audience.
As they introduced Bunji and Fay-Ann, Chante said excitedly that she was eager for the performance, being a "Trini" and loving soca music and "wining".
The royal couple of soca did not disappoint her or anyone in the audience as Bow Wow said at the end that they "murdered the stage".
During the short interview, Bow Wow said he had done some research on Bunji to get to know him better and came across the incident at Tobago Jazz Experience, with Bunji, Fay-Ann and their band pulling out of the event after they were informed on arrival at Grafton Beach Resort that there were not enough rooms for them.
After failing to reach anyone from the THA to have the situation resolved, Bunji decided to leave Tobago.
Bow Wow asked Bunji if the THA has yet apologised, for what he said was the disrespect meted out to them.
Bunji replied that the THA did make a statement of apology, but that he was not dwelling on the issue and was focusing on moving ahead.
Bunji and Fay-Ann mentioned several of the international events they had lined up in the coming months and Bow Wow told them to go on and "make that money".
Bunji and Fay-Ann also brought gifts of CDs for the BET audience.
