This cable modem is pretty much the de facto standard when it comes to the best overall.

Its predecessor, the SB6121, was the one cable companies recommended most, and this SB6141 carries on the torch of a very stable, fast, and reliable cable modem.

I haven't had any problems using this. Setup/installation was a breeze. Just hook up the RCA cable from the wall into this, then the Ethernet cable from this into my Netgear Nighthawk X4 router. They both communicate with each other flawlessly, and I'm getting about 13Mbs down and 3Mbs up speeds on an average day, and 34Mbs down and 5Mbs up during off-peak times with my 30Mbs package from Time Warner Cable.

Overall, I think this is the best value you can get for a cable modem, and now with this refurbished deal, it's more than ever worth checking out.
